Dolomites Photography Tours & Workshops

Photograph the majestic peaks of the Italian Dolomites

The Dolomites is an inspiring place, where mountains tower at almost 11,000ft over some of the most impressive and stunning scenery in Europe. Here you will find an incredible landscape of jagged peaks, alpine hills, wooden huts and gorgeous lakes that offer some amazing reflections of the mountains that dominate the views. Add to that the stunning changing of the colours as autumn takes hold and you have the recipe for a fantastic week of landscape photography.

Alpine lakes and valleys

Like most mountainous regions, the Dolomites are dotted with beautiful alpine lakes offering perfect mirror-like reflections of the surrounding peaks.

There are also some incredible mountain passes affording splendid views of the valleys below and Alpe di Siusi, the largest high-altitude alpine meadow in Europe. Access is easy via a gondola that takes you up high enough to photography the landscape from above.

Photogenic churches

Then there are the wonderfully photogenic churches of Santa Magdalena, St Johann Church and Chiesa di Santa Barbara in South Tyrol. All perfectly positioned with stunning backdrops of the mountains behind. If there’s one thing the Italians do well, it is creating beautiful churches in some jaw-dropping locations.

Some of the most famous peaks include the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Sassolungo, Marmolada, and Tofane. Each has a unique shape and character.
